Paradoxe de Fascination
120 cm I Fiberglass, Resin, Acrylic

My creation illustrates the paradox of fascination through the
powerful image of a lion hypnotized by a seductive gazelle. The
lion, symbol of strength and royalty, finds himself captivated by
the gazelle's beauty and charm. Despite his predatory nature and
awareness of danger, he is irresistibly drawn to the sensuality of
his prey. This fascination leads him to a loss of control and a
transgression of his own principles, ultimately driving him to
adultery.
The work explores how a powerful attraction can lead to actions
that contradict reason and moral standards. The lion, in his quest
for sexual satisfaction, allows himself to be led down a path of
forbidden conduct, embodying the conflict between desire and
ethics, attraction and consequence. With this creation, I seek to
highlight the complexity of human emotions and the contradictions
that can arise when fascination overcomes logic and conscience.
